Design Assistant, Charlotte Hughes
With over 15 years’ experience in Masterplanning, Architecture, Planning, and Urban Design, Billy began his career at Shropshire Council as a Planning and Design Officer. He then joined Savills in 2013 as part of the Urban Design Studio in Oxford, producing masterplans and layouts for developments ranging from 4 units to 3,000-home urban extensions.
After relocating to the South West and working for local architectural practices, Billy joined Edenstone Homes in 2021 as Head of Design, leading the in-house design team. During his time at Edenstone Homes, Billy delivered numerous commercially viable, high-quality, and prestigious developments for both the open market and affordable housing sectors. Billy is also a Recognised Practitioner with the Urban Design Group.

Charlotte has 16 years’ experience working in Human Resources, Recruitment, Design, and Administration. She began her career as a Recruiter at Shirley Parsons in Buckinghamshire, and soon progressed to become a Senior Recruiter, focusing on the service and construction sectors. Since then, she has worked for the Universities of Oxford and Bristol, as well as in the independent education sector, in roles such as Personal Assistant and within Human Resources.
After a long career in Administration and Recruitment, Charlotte decided to retrain as an Urban Designer fulfilling a lifelong interest and passion for the built environment. To support this transition, she is currently planning to undertake a PGCert in Urban Design.
